πŸ—„ What Happens When You Take Your Dreams Seriously πŸŽ₯

I am the channel that allows you to take your dreams seriously.

And STEP ONE to realizing your dreams is to take your dreams seriously.

It's to talk about them as if they are real. It's to share your work and effort and progress on them, as if they are a report you've shared 100x in the office. It's allowing yourself to be visible in your growth so that other people take you seriously too.

I was listening to a client voice-note this morning where she was catching me up on her screenplay.

Listening to her speak now vs. 10 months ago, I can hear a resounding difference. A transformation has occurred and she is on the cusp of something major.

She is not uncertain about the work she is doing. She is not ashamed for seeking wildly successful outcomes. She does not feel foolish for dedicating her time to something that matters (that many others would say would never happen, is impossible, is against the odds, etc).

Listening to her speak, I hear her taking herself and her work (screenplay) seriously. She uses the lingo. She binge-watches story structure workshops. She sought out writing groups and partnerships. She has finished and polished a pilot with a successful mentor in this space. She has queried agents AND SHE HAS RECEIVED RESPONSES.

Her work has been received and taken seriously in the industry that she dreamed of entering.

Because she dared to take her dreams seriously, they are coming to fruition.

As her coach, I held the space required for her to show up, for her to take herself seriously, for her to take her dreams seriously.

Because like every single client I work with -- she already knows her way. She already knows what it takes to get to where she wants to go.

And now she is willing (and excited and inspired) to do what it takes because she has the confidence, the safety, and the support she needed to go after it.

Having another human who takes your work seriously (sometimes more seriously than you do), who holds a safe space for you to experiment, who supports you on your edge, who reminds you who you are and what you are made of is priceless.

Because when you take your dreams seriously, when you allow yourself to be visible in your work, things start coming together.

And when things start coming together, your confidence rises. As your confidence rises, you show up more and more in ways that used to be scary but now feel normal.

And then suddenly you'll realize: you've made it.

This is the power of hiring a coach. Don't hire a coach who will show you the way. You already know the way. Hire a coach who believes in you, in your work, who takes you seriously and then watch yourself as you pave the way.

A coach is a channel that allows you to take your dreams seriously. And often hiring one is a first step along the way.

If you are curious about coaching, but not yet ready to commit with a big investment, considering joining πŸ‘VISIBILITY. It’s the most economical, no-brainer coaching container of 2024 - AKA low stakes, high reward, no regrets.
