Weekends really f*ck me up.

the looser they get
the longer they are
the bigger, better, cleaner the surf
the more fun I have

šŸ„šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

the harder it is for me to 'dock back in' at the start of my work week.
the harder it is for me to do anything but dream.

šŸ’

If I had to describe it, the feeling is
a little bit of grief for what has gone
mixed with excitement for what's to come,
&& entirely free from the motivation or the gumption to take any actions.

(even the actions that I want to take).

My desire to collapse into a puddle of dreamy soup gets real.

Cue: self-criticism and imposter syndrome and mental story about how I am never going to get anywhere if I don't make moves toward my dreams meanwhile I am never not making moves towards my dreams.

Anyone else feel this?

Cue spicy reminder (read with šŸŒ¶): you are never not making moves towards your dreams.

I repeat, you are never not making moves towards your dreams.

  • Whether you've written the newsletter or scheduled the podcast or not.

  • Whether you've actually started your business or not.

  • Whether you've whispered your dreams to another human or not.

  • Whether you've completed your week's list of tasks for your job, or your business, or that job you want to apply to, or your home, or whether you've done not a single thing on your list(s).

  • Whether you've done it all right or done it all wrong (or anywhere in the middle).

šŸ‘€ You are right on time.
āš”ļø You are making moves.
šŸ„µ You are doing the damn thing.

&& if weekends (or time off or any sort of rest/adventure/excitement) can f*ck you up too, good šŸ‘šŸ½. You are a human and you are living your life.

Allow yourself to enjoy it, without making it mean anything.

You deserve it.
You are worthy of enjoying yourself.
&, you are right on track.

šŸ’Œ
with love,
